Six people have been killed in an explosion at chemical plant in the Czech Republic.

The blast happened about at a Unipetrol facility in the town of Kralupy nad Vltavou, north of the capital, Prague.

“We have received information about six dead and several others seriously injured,” regional fire service spokeswoman Vladimira Kerekova told CTK news agency.

The cause of the explosion is not yet known.

It is thought to have struck at about 10:00 local time (08:00 GMT) on the northern outskirts of the town. Police said residents were not believed to be in danger.

NDLEA Discovered 525 Bags Of Weed Inside Ceiling, Arrested 64-yr-old Man

A 64-year-old grandfather, Daniel Idemudia, has been arrested in Benin, by the Edo State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), in connection with the discovery of substance suspected to be cannabis sativa in a warehouse.

The State Command of the NDLEA, has launched an onslaught against drug cartels in the State, leading to the discovery of two secret warehouses for weeds suspected to be cannabis sativa.

A total of 5,650 kgs of dried weeds suspected to be the banned substance, were found in the two warehouses.

The first warehouse is a residential house located behind Tipper Garage, Egor, Egor Local Government Area, where 280 sacks of the dried weeds weighing 4,200 kg.

The second warehouse is located at Ugwella-Gidi village, Ovia South West Local Government Area, where 245 sacks of dried weeds weighing 1,450 kgs were recovered.

This major discovery is coming barely few weeks after the Command publicly destroyed 136,844 kgs of various narcotic drugs, including cannabis sativa.

The State Commander of NDLEA, Mr. Buba Wakawa, disclosed that the seizures were made based on intelligence reports received by the Command.

Acxording to Wakawa, the exhibits at the Egor warehouse were hidden inside the ceiling of a bungalow, where a 64-year-old grandfather, Daniel Idemudia who resides in the warehouse was been arrested.

“We were shocked to discover 280 sacks of dried weeds suspected to be cannabis sativa all hidden inside the ceiling of the building. This discovery will serve as a warning to others that their warehouses will be discovered and the drugs seized,” he said.

The suspect, PA Daniel Idemudia, who admitted knowledge of the exhibits found inside ceiling in his house, said that a friend kept the banned substance in his house.

“A friend of mine kept the cannabis inside the ceiling of my house. The house was built by my son who resides in Europe. He promised to handsomely reward me after selling the drugs,” he said.

The NDLEA Commander who promised to arrest other members connected with the warehouses, appealed to members of the public with useful information that could lead to the recovery of drugs and arrest of traffickers, to provide such information to the Agency.

Nigeria Will Break Into Six Republics Before 2023’- Biafra

Leader of the Biafra Independence Movement, BIM, and founder of the Movement for Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), Chief Ralph Uwazuruike yesterday claimed that Nigeria would break into six different republics before 2023.

According to him, the present ‘pigeonholed six geo-political zones of the country’, namely South-East, South-South, South-West, North-Central, North-East and North-West, would metamorphose into the six republics, with South-East becoming the long agitated New Biafra, while South-South becomes Niger-Delta Republic, just as South-West and North-Central become Oduduwa and Middle-Belt Republics respectively, leaving North-East and North-West as Arewa Republic.

In a statement issued yesterday in Onitsha, Anambra state, shortly after BIM’s Anambra South Zonal meeting held at Uga, Aguata Local Government Area of the state, Uwazuruike who was represented by a member of Biafra Elders–in-council, Mazi Chris Mocha, observed that “the obvious lack of trust in the relationship or union between the northern and southern Nigeria is too inexplicable that Nigerians cannot continue to co-exist as one nation.”

Uwazuruike contended that “the faulty amalgamation of the northern and southern Nigeria in 1914 which expired since January 2014, also made it imperative that the country must surely break up in the near future, based on Biafran constitution which provided that any section of the country that is dissatisfied with the union will be at liberty to secede.”

He therefore urged Biafra leaders “to ensure that the federation is run in such a way that the citizens would be happy at all times and willing to belong to Biafra without being forced to do so.”

He insisted that “it was only in a corrupt country like Nigeria where illegality thrives that citizens are forced to live together and always show allegiance to the state”, adding, “we do not deserve Biafra if the emerging republic cannot be better than Nigeria.”

‘PDP About To Die’- Orubebe

A former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs Godsday Orubebe, has declared that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is gradually heading towards its grave.

According to the former minister, the PDP “is still lost in depression and suffering from a Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD),” adding that the platform had crossed the bridge “from pride to shame.”

Orubebe noted that imposition, impunity, arrogance and greed were responsible for the party’s electoral defeat in 2015, stressing that the crisis rocking the platform was compounded by the mishandling of its last national convention.

The party stalwart, who caused a stir during the collation of the 2015 presidential election results by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Abuja, said the PDP would need vigour, courage and sustainable ideas to bounce back to reckoning.

In an open letter to the PDP National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus, the former minister said the party must accept that it made mistakes while in power for 16 years.

He said, “We have gone from a party of pride to a party of shame and gradually receding into the abyss of political reality. For the simple reason that the nation is witnessing calls for the rise of a “third force,” we are fast becoming a shadow of ourselves.”

The former minister said unless the grandstanding and imposition gave way to a healthy competition, the party would not avert a looming doom.

He said the party should be liberated from the jaw of its exclusive founders, who have held it hostage.

Orubebe said: “One of the biggest challenges that the PDP faces is balancing its needs for funding with established egalitarian values and internal systems. If the party continues to be held hostage by few major donors, it will continue to find it difficult to instill the values that will endear us Nigerians.

“We must take our appeal to Nigerians and through our reforms, let the party truly become a people-funded party. Small donations from millions of Nigerians will go a long way in the party’s finan cial requirements and will create the necessary atmosphere for true ownership among members of the party.”

I Have Made Over N720million From Kidnappings - Another 'Super Rich' Kidnap Kingpin Confesses In Niger

As billionaire kidnap kingpin, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike a.k.a Evans is facing trial in a Lagos court over his alleged criminal activities, another ‘super-rich’ kingpin, Isah Maiturari, has been apprehended by the police in Niger State.

Unlike Evans, Maiturari upon his capture surrendered to fate, saying that he wants to die.

“I have told God that I want to die this year, I am tired of this life, please let God take my life, let me die, that is my prayer.”

These were the prayers of 61-year-old Isah Maiturari, a notorious kidnap kingpin and dealer in most stolen cars in Niger State.

Maiturari who hails from Paikoro Local Government Area of Niger State was arrested for the eight-time in 29 years last week when he was picked up by men of the Inspector General of Police’s (IGP) “Operation Absolute Sanity” from his resident at Sauk Ka Futa, a suburb of Minna, the Niger State capital.

Maiturari, a father of 29 children and three wives had flourished in criminal activities, ranging from kidnapping to receiving and selling of stolen cars within Niger, Kogi, Kaduna and Kano states, as well as the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

In his four years as king of kidnappers in the state, Maiturari said he and his gangs realized well over N720 million from ransom paid by families of their victims.

“I was having so many problems from the kidnapping business so I had to leave it and entered into buying of stolen cars and I have been doing that for 29 years now.

“Although I left the business in 2013, but I came back to it again three years ago because of the current hardship.

“But I have told God that I want to die this year, I am tired of this life. I want God to take my life this year, please let me die,” he told Sunday Sun.

Maiturari, however, said that he has no regrets over his criminal activities, which had made him to go to jail seven times.

“I have no regrets for what I have done in the last 29 years, but now it is time to die, and that is what I am waiting for, I told God that I want to die this year,” he stressed.

It was gathered that in the last 29 years, Maiturari has been arrested and charged to court seven times, sentenced and jailed, but he had always regained his freedom in a dramatic manner.

It was also revealed that each time he regained his freedom from prison, Maiturari would put a call across to the security agents to taunt them, by telling them that he was out of prison and would begin business as usual.

In 2001, Maiturari was chased out of the state by the late former Governor Abdulkadir Kure, and he relocated to Kano State where he continued his stolen car business.

The die-hard kidnapper who is also a trans-border dealer in stolen cars has his customers scattered across Nigeria and Niger Republic.

His major markets within Nigeria are in Kano, Kaduna, Abuja, Lagos and Sokoto states.

Sunday Sun gathered that Maiturari who is said to be very meticulous with the proceeds of his crime has over 35 choice houses in Minna, Kaduna and Kano states.

He said that he bought his first stolen car for N400 and sold it for N800 in Kano.

According to him, the car was brought home by one of his sons who told him that the owner wanted to sell it.

That was the beginning of his journey into dealing in stolen cars, and for 29 years, Maiturari reigned supreme that made people in Paiko community to wonder if he was above the law.

And because of his criminal lifestyle, the kingpin who is from a well-known family in Paiko severed relationship with his other family members, except his wives and children.

Thus while he was arrested and paraded with one of his sons, all the three wives were at the Bosso Divisional Police Station where he was paraded to show solidarity to him.

Since his arrest, Maiturari has helped the police to recover about 35 vehicles from Lagos, Kaduna, Kano, Niger and other places where he has sold them.

Although none of the wives was ready to comment on the ordeals of their husband and the involvement of their son, a member of the community who said that he knows the most wanted car snatcher in Niger State, told our correspondent that Maiturari is a “hard nut to crack” in the stolen car business.

“Everybody in Paiko knows him as a person with highly questionable character, but people are even afraid of him because each time the police arrested him, before you know it, he will regain his freedom.

“There was a time he was even shot on his leg and that is why you see him limping. Some of his children are involved in the business with him”.

The Police Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Moshood Jimoh, described Maiturari as the most wanted car snatcher in Niger State.

He assured that the apprehended suspect would be made to face the full wrath of the law this time around, saying that car owners can now go to sleep.

Famous Snake Handler Loses Life After Being Bitten By A Poisonous Cobra

A popular snake handler has died after he was bitten by a deadly cobra.

Abu Zarin, whose skills saw him progress to the quarter finals of Asia’s Got Talent, was attacked by the reptile in Betong, Malaysia.

The 33-year-old was a firefighter and he taught his colleagues and so many other people on how to handle dangerous snakes without harming them.

His turning point in his career was when he impressed millions of people on TV after he kissed an untamed venom-filled snake.

This will not be the first time that Abu Zarin will be bitten by deadly snakes. The Star in Malaysia reports that he went into a coma back in 2015 after he was bitten by a cobra when he made an attempt to capture in the wild.

The fatal bite happened shortly before 8pm on Monday, and he died at the Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Hospital. He is believed to have been on a snake-catching operation when he was bitten.

Abu Zarin had earlier been reported in the Thai media to have married a snake. A story which he immediately debunked and claimed it was the work of rumor peddlers that plan on tarnishing his image.

First Year Student Killed By Fulani Herdsmen While Travelling With His Friends (Photo)

According to reports, this promising young man identified as Collins Ojieriakhi was among those cut short by Herdsmen on Friday at Ugboha in Esan South-East LGA, Edo State.

Unfortunately, until his dead he was a student of Ambrose Alli University AAU, Ekpoma, Edo state.

Reports have it that five persons including the first year student of the Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma, were killed in two separate attacks by suspected herdsmen in Ugboha, Esan South East Local, and Odiguete Ovia North East Local Government Areas .

The incident at Ugboha, occurred Friday night at about 7:30 pm when the deceased Collins and his friends were on their way back to the village from Uromi.

Father of the deceased, Mr. Festus Ojeriakhi, while narrating the incident said:

“I am just confused. I was actually in the house easting at about 8pm and I started asking about my son who was not there. I was told he went to Uromi with his friends on a motorcycle.

“It was around 9pm that the mother of my son´s friend started shouting, crying that herdsmen have killed her son.

I rushed out of the house and I asked about my own son. I was told he died too with his friend.

“We immediately detailed boys and ran to the place. When we got there we were told that the police have come to take the corpse to Ubiaja mortuary.

I was told my son and two others including the friend died. They said the other person that died is an Igbo person.

“The information we heard was that as my son was driving home with his Okada, the herdsmen and their cattle blocked the road and they waited for them to leave the road.

Immediately they passed, some of their people in the bush opened fire on my son and his friends and they died at the spot.

“I have been to the Area Commander’s office and they said they are investigating the matter. I don’t know what to do. This is a young boy that just entered university”, he lamented.

A Nigerian lady who hails from Awgu, Enugu state has wowed many after she revealed that the she got married to her husband two months after meeting him.
The lovely lady identified as Rubby Nebechi Demian, took a swipe at ‘unserious’ guys, as she says any man that loves his partner will not hesitate in marrying her – she shaded guys that love studying women as ‘a university course‘ before getting married.

She then disclosed that she met her man on December 2017 and officially tied the knot on February this year. She shared on Facebook;

Any man that loves you will not waste time to make you his wife but the unserious ones will like to study you like university course .We met on December 2017,first introduction was on 7th January 2018 and we tied the knot traditionally on 24th of February this year.
